1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India, and able to form a binding contract, to use Kaapi. By using the app you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. The service

Kaapi is a credit-focused personal finance service, available as a mobile app and as “Sara”, an AI assistant on WhatsApp. When you upload your credit report, Kaapi reads it to show your score and the factors driving it, an animated explainer of the report, likely report errors with drafted dispute emails for you to review and send, and a conversational assistant grounded in your report. You can also ask for a free callback from our team on topics like loans, savings, or insurance. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

3. Your account

4. Your credit report & data

When you upload a credit report (in the app or over WhatsApp), you authorize Kaapi to read and process it as described in our Privacy Policy. You may only upload your own credit report, never someone else’s. We may decline to process a report that does not appear to be yours. Dispute emails that Kaapi drafts are sent by you, from your own email; you are responsible for reviewing them before sending. You can delete your data at any time.

5. Sara on WhatsApp

6. Not financial or credit advice

Kaapi provides information, tools, and AI-generated content for your personal use. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, or credit-repair advice, and Kaapi is not a bank, lender, credit bureau, or an RBI/SEBI-registered adviser. The AI assistant can make mistakes. Credit report data comes from documents you upload and may be incomplete or out of date. We do not guarantee any score improvement, dispute outcome, loan approval, or interest rate. Expert callbacks are informational conversations, not binding offers. You are responsible for your own financial decisions; consider consulting a qualified professional before acting.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Intellectual property

Kaapi, its name, logo, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. Your data remains yours.

9. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services (e.g. Google, Microsoft, credit bureaus, cloud and AI providers, app stores). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we’re not responsible for them.

10. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information it shows is accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kaapi and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Kaapi harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You can stop using Kaapi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. On termination, the relevant sections of these Terms survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
